Members Day - autumn event

 This day is for everyone. Meet the committee and other Friends.
NB. This event will be cancelled on a day of extreme weather conditions. BYO:
your own plates, cups, cutlery, cold drinks & lunch
(this is a no rubbish event). Tea, coffee provided. Keep checking back for further information
Nursery activity days
- every Tuesday & Thursday. Drop in anytime between 9.30am - 1pm
- 1st Saturday of the month (Apr-Dec). Drop in anytime between 9.30am - 11am
NB. The nursery is closed on all public holidays and days of high fire risk. Venue: 1217 Macclesfield Road, Yellingbo (Melways Map 305 Ref. G11)
Learn new skills in plant propagation and plant identification or share your knowledge. Come and enjoy the colour, movement and sound of the bush whilst enjoying the company of fellow Friends as you pot up plants and get involved in various aspects of nursery management. - Activities may include tree planting, seed collecting or works around the nursery or at differing locations around the Yellingbo Nature Conservation Reserve and area. Most equipment is supplied.
- BYO: lunch. Please dress for the weather. Sturdy boots are required, gumboots in wet weather.

- Helmeted Honeyeater survey at Labertouche on Sunday 16 October 2011? Every participant was privileged to see 4 curious Helmeteds drop by whilst listening to their calls on CD during the introduction session!

- New Members day on Sunday 24 July 2011? In addition to finding out more about the group and meeting other members, our new members were treated to seeing half a dozen Helmeted Honeyeaters foraging on the Swamp Gums in the wild. - Helping out with our revegetation program? In mid September we wound up our 2011 planting season. Cockatoo PS,
Oxley
College, Swinburne TAFE, Lilydale HS, PSG Elecraft, Zoos Victoria,
Yellingbo PS & Macclesfield PS helped us plant 16,688 habitat
plants.
