We keep our membership affordable for everyone at $20 for wage earners and $10 for concession holders.

Many members feel that they can afford more and SPONSOR A PLANT or 5 or 50 at $1 per plant. Just nominate how many plants you wish to sponsor and add $1 for each plant to your membership payment. Each year, a special project is nominated by the committee to which additional donations are allocated. In 2007-08, donations enabled The Friends to work with David Williams the artist of our children’s book ‘Hilton Hunts for a Home’ to work with Yellingbo PS and create artwork for our promotional trailer. In 2008-09, donations will purchase a video monitoring surveillance camera for in-field nest predator surveillance.

As a financial member you will receive our quality quarterly newsletter and get up to date information of the captive and wild Helmeted Honeyeater populations.

Members are given the opportunity to:

• See Helmeted Honeyeaters in the wild
• Hear expert speakers on natural history subjects
• Go to Healesville Sanctuary each year for free
• Learn new skills from workshops and from working along side experienced volunteers
• Receive the large community group discount for workshops run by Greening Australia
• Sleep peacefully at night knowing you are trying to stop the extinction of the Helmeted Honeyeater

The membership year follows the financial year, beginning in July and ending on June 30th. You may pay for 1 to 5 years membership. You will know when to renew by looking at the renewal date on your newsletter address label.
